Media art

This video is my different perspective of playing games. I shot the left hand using the keyboard and the right hand using the mouse, as well as my first angle of view. These are described from different angles to make them more detailed.

Things to Know About Me

I used some tags to introduce myself. I made this using GIMP. I wrote about my hobbies, my age and nationality. It has a strange feeling by tilting the font and changing the color.

Surreal Scene

This picture is a drifting bottle containing the sea in the desert. There is an old ship on the sea, and a shark in the sea. I used GIMP's free selection tool to combine the sky, desert, drift bottle, ship, and shark together. And use the blur filter to make the junction of the sky and the desert more integrated. I also adjusted the sharpness, exposure and local color of the image. These make the image look more organized.

Human and Nature

This image is a composition of two separate picture that I used. I first used the free selection tool in GIMP and the eraser tool to finish doing the part of the figure. Then I overlaid the figure layer on top of the animal layer. Finally I adjusted the transparency of the figure layer to finish. The hard part of this assignment is the editing of the figure layer.

Colors and Filters

I made this image using GIMP and I used the filter tool to change the style and color of the image. And also used glow effects in the third image. I found a big change in the style of the same picture with different filters.

Image Manipulation

I use the GIMP tool to restore damaged images and enhance the contrast and saturation of the image colors. I didn't add color to the image because I thought black and white would better reflect his handsomeness. After doing this assignment I learned to use the clone tool in GIMP.

Point of view

I took these three images from different perspectives. The first image I took from the perspective of a goose, which is looking down from above. The second picture I took by placing my phone under the model and looking upwards. The third picture I took a close up shot of the towel. The lint on the towel was photographed. I used an Apple phone to take the shot.

Joiner

To create this image, I took numerous front and back photos of Adrian, a classmate. The layout makes the picture appear lively. There is an overarching, unique, and abstract aesthetic. I combine several photos onto one main image. To edit the photographs, I use flip, symmetry, crop, and other tools. They add intrigue to the images. I did not apply a filter when I took the picture with my Apple phone.

Photographs and Photographers

Jimmy Chin A.      I am interested in Jimmy Chin's photographs because they offer a unique perspective on outdoor adventure and extreme sports, capturing the beauty and excitement of these activities in breathtaking landscapes. His photos are also admired for their technical ability and attention to detail, as well as the stories they tell about the people and places he meets on his travels.      In this photo is a picture of a person hiking. We can see that the mountains on both sides are very treacherous and steep. The climber is particularly small. Behind them is a much higher and more majestic mountain. This image uses leading lines. The composition is such that the viewer's visual focus can be on the taller mountain behind. B.      After I did more research I found out Jimmy Chin is an American professional mountain athlete, photographer, film director, and author. Chin has been a professional climber and skier on The North Face Athlete team for over 20 years. C.      Whe

Water

This is the photo I took when I went to Tim and waited for the traffic light. It has just rained, so there are some small puddles on the ground. It reflects the light of the street lamp, making the whole picture look bright. I am using the camera of Apple mobile phone and do not use the filter.           This photo is about water. From my opinion, it looks like a butterfly flying in the sky, which is very beautiful. In addition to this, there is the shadow of some classmates on the glass behind it, and together they make a characteristic photo. I took this photo with my Apple phone and used a black and white filter.

Color and B&W

The first black and white photo features a snow-covered pine tree. The black and white filter makes the color contrast between the snow and the tree more intense. It gives a cold feeling. I took the photo with my Apple phone and used the black and white filter.      The second image features a colorful Aboriginal mask. It has very distinctive features so I chose to photograph it. It is mainly composed of red, blue and yellow. There are also accents of other colors. I used an Apple phone and did not use a filter.

Depth of Field

In the first image I focused on the green watermelon. In the second image I changed the focus and I focused on the background behind it. I used the Apple phone's camera and used a sharp filter. A picture with a shallow depth of field can convey a sense of focus and prominence on a specific subject, while the blurred background draws attention to the subject and adds a feeling of separation from the surrounding elements. This technique can create a dreamy, atmospheric effect and emphasizes the subject's importance in the scene.
